This is just another one of those crazy Proof of Concepts that could be used when CSS3 will be an actual web standard. Sadly, only browsers that support the
-webkit prefix in CSS (Safari and Chrome) show the full effect of this technique.
Firefox only displays the rounded corners (
-moz-border-radius) and Internet Explorer.. Well, you'll have to see it for yourself. Strangely, Opera doesn't really like this technique and displays the effect a whole other way.
I apologize for the "ugly" background. It just shows the neat fade out effect better.
